Last day

Well today we have to turn in our project, so we are working hard on the report to get it done in time. There is still alot of errors in the program we made, so it dosn't work as intended. But there is some chance we can get it done, so all the basic functions will work at the presentation next week!!! But have a nice weekend all =)

Week 2 update

We are working hard to finish our bio booking system in time for the first release, and we have managed to get a lot of the work done, but there is still a lot of work ahead of us. As far as to say that we are going to finish all of the work that we have planned for iteration 2, we are still uncertain if we are going to finish it all in time for the release on Friday.

So far the burndown chart follows the ideal timeline, and we are on schedule, but we are concerned that we are not going to finish all of the planned userstories in time. You can see the burndown chart from this week below.

As far as the program goes, we have programmed a lot this week. We have created a few testfirst tests, but we have not focused that much energy on it, because we are trying not to get more behind of schedule than we already are. The program is taking form, and it is beginning to look like something that can be used in a cinema.

Week two of our Xp project

We started the week by looking over the progress on our project, and it was a grim sight. We did not make our planned deadline for the first week, and therefore we have to reevaluate our time schedule and make a new burn down chart for this week. In the new chart we also include the old jobs, we did not complete in the first week.

Below are some pictures of our burn down chart from last week, and a picture of our whiteboard.

Day three

After the first day, we got to work on the programming part of our "Bio Booking" project, and so far we have gotten a lot of work done. We also realized that we may have calculated wrong in our time estimations, but we will see how far we have gotten on Friday.

For the time being, we have formed 3 groups.

Malte, Niels
Riis, Kasper
Stefan, Jesper

In these groups, one person is programming, and another is following the person, who is programming, to see if he is making errors or if he is following the coding standards. This will hopefully increase the quality of the code, but it will also decrease the amount of code which can be produced.

Everybody in our group actually think that pair programming is a very nice way to work, because it is easier and faster to get help and feedback to the code that is being made.

Day one

First day of our XP project, and we have made our group, which includes me, Malte, Stefan, Riis, Kasper and Niels.
We are looking forward to getting to know what we are dealing with.
